Live safety for solo miles

Run free.
They'll know you're okay.

RunSpotter streams your live route, battery, and expected return to the people who love you. If something changes — a fall, a lost signal, a run that goes long — alerts fire on their own. One held button brings help.

⚡ Your spotters install nothing. They just open a link.

How it works

Three steps between you
and a watched-over run.

Set it up once. After that, starting a protected run takes seconds — and nobody has to wait by the phone.

STEP 01

Set your plan in seconds

Duration, route, tracking speed, and who should know if you're late. RunSpotter even forecasts your battery before you head out.

Set Up Your Run screen with run length, expected return, planned route, and battery forecast
STEP 02

Your people get one link

Pick your spotters — mom, partner, running buddy. They're notified the moment you start. No account, no download, no setup on their end.

STEP 03

They follow you live

Real-time route, last spotted location, signal, battery, and expected finish — plus the calm note that you're safe and moving.

The safety net

If you can't reach your phone,
RunSpotter speaks for you.

Silence becomes context. Your spotters know where to start — not just that you've gone quiet.

🆘

One-hold SOS

Hold one button to share your exact location with every spotter and open 911. Loud, instant, unmistakable.

⚠️

Alerts that fire on their own

A fall, low battery, lost signal, a stop that lasts too long, or an overdue return — each triggers an automatic alert with your last known spot.

🧭

Calm Rescue Mode

Need a pickup? Spotters get one-tap "Drive to them" and "Hike to them" directions, and you get a route to the nearest road.

🔋

Battery-smart GPS

Five tracking presets, from 30-minute expedition pings to 15-second max safety — with a battery forecast before you commit.

🗺️

Routes & GPX

Upload a GPX file or pick a planned route so your people see where you intend to be — and get alerted if you drift off it.

🏁

Race day & family plans

Crew follows your race live. And the Family plan lets a loved one sponsor a runner's membership — they just sign in and go.

Questions

Asked before every first run.

Do my spotters need to install anything?
No — that's the whole point. Your spotters tap one link in a text and the live map opens in their browser: your route, last spotted location, signal, battery, and expected finish. No app, no account, no setup on their end.
What happens if I lose signal or my battery dies?
RunSpotter keeps your last spotted location on the map and alerts your spotters automatically, so silence comes with context instead of panic. Battery-smart GPS presets (with a pre-run battery forecast) help make sure your phone outlasts your run in the first place.
Is this only for runners?
No — RunSpotter covers running, trail running, cycling, hiking, walking, and any solo outdoor training. It's also great on race day, when family and crew want to follow you live.
What about my privacy?
You're only visible during activities you start, to the spotters you choose — this is a safety net you switch on, not a tracker that follows you around. We use precise location only for the live-tracking and safety features you start, we don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your data for advertising. Read the privacy policy.
